The Czech Nymph imitates and mimics a caseless Caddis larvae and is an extremely productive fly for Yellowfish and Mudfish that are close to the bottom in the fast flowing waters of the Vaal or Orange Rivers. This fly performs best in colours such as brown, chartreuse and different shades of green. A good idea is to fish the Czech Nymph in front of a Hotspot, Copper John or GRHE when targeting river fish. Keep a few in your fly box, this fly is very under-rated in South African waters, and it produces fantastic fish, especially on slow days.
