The Deceiver fly, or as we know it, the Lefty’s Deceiver, was first tied by World renowned saltwater fly fisherman Lefty Kreh in the 1950’s, who also “invented” the Clouser Minnow, is a superb saltwater lure or streamer type fly that has caught many game fish. The Deceiver is also used with great success to target pelagic fish, billfish and even large sharks. It just goes to show, you can catch any species on fly, you just need to know what fly works for what.
